| Description |
ISYS Technologies is currently hiring a UNIX Systems Administrator with experience supporting UNIX systems administration functions for Solaris and LINUX environments and applications as well as partial Windows administration duties.
Required skills:
• 5 years experience (minimum) in Solaris system administration.
• Strong Solaris (8,9,10) skills including ZFS, Zones and Containers.
• Moderate LINUX (RedHat/CentOS, Debian/Ubuntu) skills.
• Full understanding of UNIX environment, including standard daemons, protocols and applications (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, NFS, Apache, FTP, sendmail etc.).
• Sound experience with SAN technologies, including Fibre and iSCSI.
• Strong knowledge and experience in UNIX scripting/programming (shell, perl, sed/awk, etc.).
• Knowledge of networking concepts.
• Ability to plan, document, install and effectively implement complex server software across heterogeneous server and networking environments.
• Good verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Apache/Tomcat, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle.
• Experience with Zoning and ZFS.
• Ability to multitask, balance workloads, and take direction from multiple managers.
