| Description |
ISYS Technologies is currently hiring a high level Database Designer with some imagery experience; GIS Analyst in background and/or training. The Database Designer/GIS Analyst will be strong IT person and willing to be further trained in AGI imagery software. An active DoD Top Secret Clearance is required with SSBI conducted within the last 2 years. This position is in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Five years experience in the following administration, maintenance, and implementation of database applications, GIS analysis, GIS databases, and application designs
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic, and ESRI ArcGIS applications
• Experience in standard NGA geospatial datasets such as: CIB, TLMs and VPF
• Development with both the ArcObjects Application and ARC GIS Server
• GIS analysis and geoprocessing using ModelBuilder and Python scripting
DESCRIPTIONS:
• Assist development of the AGI Node''s ArcGIS Server
• Develop web applications, maintain database, manage system server, support operating system
• Translate data from the GIS to other systems or from other systems into the GIS database; RemoteView and Socet GXP
• Create and run SQL scripts to conduct data analysis, accuracy validation and data maintenance
• Write and execute Visual Basic programs to perform initial cleaning and loading, maintenance tasks, and validation of spatial data
• Administer SQL databases including upgrades, backups/restores, data migration, export/import of data and database duplication for GIS development databases separate from the live GIS database
• Release GIS source data to all outside government entities
• Provide technical support to GIS analysts in utilizing GIS applications and principles to improve productivity, data accuracy, and reach the objective of one source of data available for AGI Node utilization
• Analyze, monitor, and manipulate GIS spatial data for fine tuning analysis and optimization of database performance
• Develop standards and procedures for GIS databases to establish a set of rules relative to spatial data accuracy
• Implement automated procedures for backup recovery of GIS database
• Write applications to find logical errors in the GIS database
